The third installment in the Tekken series, Tekken 3 is a fighting game. Before being released on PlayStation in 1998, the original arcade game was released in Japan just for a short time in November 1996 before being released to the rest of the world in March 1997. Tekken 5's Arcade History feature includes the original arcade version of the game, which was released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2. In 2018, as part of Sony's PlayStation Classic, the game was re-released.
There are a total of twenty-three characters in Tekken 3, the majority of whom are newcomers, featuring the likes of Jin Kazama, Ling Xiaoyu, Bryan Fury, Eddy Gordo, and Hwoarang. Tekken Force, a new beat 'em up mode, and the additional Tekken Ball mode are included in the home edition.
Tekken 3 was a huge success for both arcades and consoles, selling 35,000 arcade units and more than 8 million PlayStation copies worldwide. One of the greatest video games ever made is Tekken 3. After Tekken Tag Tournament, a non-canon sequel, was released in arcades and on PlayStation 2 in 1999 and 2000, respectively, On PlayStation 2 and in arcades, the direct successor, Tekken 4, was released in 2001 and 2002.
